Join our team as a Senior Full-Stack Developer with at least 5 years of professional experience, capable of managing software development from back and to the front end, handling our on-premises server infrastructure.

Location: Lusaka, Zambia 

Reporting to: IT Manager

Position Overview

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will play a critical role in architecting solutions, writing clean and efficient code, integrating APIs, managing databases, and ensuring seamless user experiences. You will also mentor junior developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to setting best practices for software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Laravel backend applications and React frontend 
• Design and implement scalable, secure APIs, database schemas, and complex business logic.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain on-premise servers (Linux/Windows), including web servers, databases, and application servers.
• Troubleshoot networking, server, and application issues in an on-premise environment.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and security measures for on-premise systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to plan software updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure system reliability.
• Document deployments, configurations, and internal processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Backend: Advanced experience with Laravel, REST APIs, database management, and backend logic.
• Frontend: Strong experience with React, component-driven architecture, and modern state management.
• Database: Deep knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL or other relational databases, query optimization, and migrations.
• Server & Infrastructure: Experience managing on-premise servers, including Linux environments, Nginx/Apache, database servers, networking basics, storage, and security.
• DevOps & Deployment: Experience with deployment pipelines, backups, monitoring, and patching on-premise applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Proficient in Git, CI/CD tools, and version control workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Docker or containerized applications in on-premise setups.
• Knowledge of firewall, VPNs, and enterprise network configuration.
• Familiarity with SaaS or hybrid deployment environments.
